Playtime in the paddy field!

The vast paddy field shone in the setting sun like diamonds scattered in the sand…
Kids played in the adjacent groves with such joy and abandon while their mothers worked in the fields beside them…

Little origami masters

They were the happiest beings in the world, content with what they have… A simple palm leaf made a cart ride of infinite excitement… few folds of a coconut leaf formed a John Lennon spectacle …Kids… how rich and wonderful is their world …

They must have been doing in the same way for millennias… thrashing harvested plants onto a giant bamboo pole… grains falling down like sudden showers on a sunny day… how graceful are her movements … her unhurried pace…

The harvest dance

The fields stretched far up to the foothills of the east… among its ridges that separated the fields sat a lonely man… It was his song that drew me to him… the lonely melancholic tone of it …

The water wheel song!

He pedalled his waterwheel in slow unhurried motions. One would feel he has been doing that since eternity… a frog jumped swiftly into the water… the last of the birds had roosted already on the giant tamarind tree… I could still hear his song and the sound of water… slow and lonely as ever
